We’re big fans of the Oculus Rift VR Headset since day 1. After our first test in the Rift it was clear – we need to make some tech demo to test out stuff with the Rift. As we have a strong background in racing games, it was obvious to take some of the race tech and assemble a racing test playground – called Rift Racer.

As we’re home on systems like the the Mac, iPhone, iPad or on Android we also create games that play in the browser, but of course with the same quality as download games. We work closely with large portal sites like MTV’s Shockwave.com and others to bring high quality game content to your browser – of course using Unity as our base. Rift Racer is a very early prototype and not a polished final build of a game – so please excuse the “drafty look”. Things might not work or break, so be warned. 🙂

What we want to test out is what kind of effects bring the highest immersion within the Rift. For example going at full speed up a ramp and shortly before you lift off, brake and steer hard left or right. That will start to rotate the car in a “fascinating” way when you look around within the car. Anyway, give it a spin yourself if you own a Rift. Enjoy!
